I took 150mg for the first two weeks and am now taking 300mg daily. Patients should be advised that the consumption of alcohol should be minimized or avoided. It has really dampened my sex drive - I normally have a high sex drive. The sleeping disturbance is the worst part of all, since when my clonezepam worked, I had NO problems sleeping through the night. My moods were stable on both meds so even though the depression / irritability was in check, the side effects were unpleasant. As soon as I dropped from 150 to 75 of effexor, I felt terrible.

Wellbutrin is an antidepressant medication. It is so frustrating as I exercise like CRAZY and I stay the same no matter what I do. I think I'll go off of Wellbutrin after I finish this current batch (I order 90 day supplies by mailcheaper), but I'll go slowly. Only about three weeks ago the doctor put me on 450mg a day. about the side effects ended with 3 new Rx's for headaches, insomnia, and constipation. There should be an interval of at least 24 hours between successive doses. I researched effexor and was aware of the nasty withdrawal effects, but also that it caused weight gain. This is a reaction to a shock or pain as well as to fear and nervousness. Other side effects may include weight loss, dry mouth, nausea, difficulty sleeping, dizziness, sore throat, constipation, or flatulence. Any suggestions/help/answers -MB
